Stop believing?? I never heard of such a thing. At 57 I still believe and even help the Jolly Old Elf out from time to time with some of his local events.
So many good ones, but the one that will be watched at the sacrifice of all others is the 1951 version of Scrooge with Alastair Sim as Scrooge. The only one that could come anywhere close to it is the one man stage version done by Patrick Stewart.
No because there will always be some psycho bastard from a third world country that wants everyone to believe as they do or to worship their backwoods religion or someone who wants to rule the world when they cannot even rule their own country adequately. CHANGE is not always a positive thing!
Its very hard to choose one masterpiece. Freddie Mercury's ability to compose is up there with McCartney and Lennon. Choosing one over so many is like trying to choose which is better The Mona Lisa or Whistlers Mother... Each has its own special quality.
I perused some of the other answers, Some are valid in some ways some are just a joke. There are two movies that should never have been remade because they cannot be remade. Perfection cannot be redone
